As many of you may be aware, the iLite event has been impacted upon by the move of iSeries to Telford International Centre. We received the final bits of information from both parties over the last few days, and we’re very sad to announce that iLite 2011 cannot continue as an event this year.

We really wanted to make iLite 2011 work at Telford as the inaugural event at the venue and giving a number of you a taste of what is to come with insomnia43. However, with a short time frame to work with, it just hasn’t come together how we would want it to. We also fear we may have missed the boat on getting decent numbers too. Unfortunately a 30 player LAN wouldn’t cut it as an i-Lite!

Having spent the last days pondering how this could all come together, we’re just not comfortable with what we will end up with. Rather than run a potentially bad event, with low attendance and without the feel of last year, we feel it’s better to cancel it, lick our wounds and plan it at Telford from the start for next year. We’ll have a much better feel for where and how it would best work, can open signups much earlier and deliver the event we want to run.

Apologies to those of you who were looking forward to this. We’re all very disappointed too as we were looking forward to a repeat of the relaxing LAN filled with many games that was last year. It has been a very turbulent few weeks with the move to Telford and some of the unforeseen consequences this has brought with it.

We will of course refund in full anyone who had booked, or offer you to transfer to the StratLAN event the following weekend or have the credit transferred to i43. We’ll be contacting you shortly about this if you paid for a trip.

We of course still have StratLAN the following weekend for those of you able to move your holiday.
